In this week’s “Short Ends” segment, we address the topic of the do’s and don’ts of directing actors. Filmmaker Ryan Booth, creator of SerialBox.tv, bumps up against the famous Ron Dawson push-back, but offers some push-back of his own as they discuss the topic of directing actors. We also get introduced to someone who will be a recurring show guest—indie filmmaker, father, a groomsmen in Ron’s wedding, and man with no shortage of words, JD Cochran. JD offers his own, pointed and blunt take on the topic, as someone who’s worked both in front of and behind the camera.
